Design and Size
The Apple Watch Series 5 is slightly larger than the Series 3 by several square millimeters.
The Series 5 also has an Always-On LTPO display, so can always see the information on your screen. You may think this would drain the battery, but it doesn’t, and we’ll discuss this later on.

The Series 3 only comes in an aluminum case with Silver and Space Gray finishes.
However, the Series 5 comes in four different material types, each with its own set of finishes. The aluminum case comes in Silver, Space Gray, and Gold. The stainless steel case comes in Stainless Steel, Space Black, and Gold. The titanium case comes in Titanium and Space Black. And the ceramic case comes in White.
