What If Only One AirPods Work?

Finally, you've found your AirPods but only one work? While you can choose to use only one AirPod, having both working is ideal.

Unfortunately, a common bug that a lot of people get is that one AirPod suddenly stops connecting. To fix this problem, the simplest solution is to reset your AirPods. This fixes the issue 90% of the time. Once you pair your AirPods back to your device, both should work fine.

Another solution you can try is to reset your iPhone’s network settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap “Reset Networking Settings." Once they’ve been reset, reconnect your AirPods.

Still not working?

If your AirPods don’t connect automatically to the Find My app, be sure to check the following:

  • Check Your Connection: See if your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network. Your device needs to be connected to the internet for it to work.
  • Check Your Apple ID: If you’re tracking your AirPods on a computer, make sure you’ve signed in to the same Apple ID as the one your AirPods are linked to. Your AirPods are only linked with one account.
  • Check YourFind My App: Make sure your Find My App is ready when you are. Go to Settings > [your name] > Find My App. At the top, you’ll see “Find My iPhone”. Make sure it says “On” beside it. If not, tap “Find My iPhone and switch it to “On”.
