Every time Apple releases a new iPhone, the new model always has its own distinct features. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the shiny new upgrades from its predecessor, the iPhone 6.

The iPhone 7 may look similar to the iPhone 6 models, but Apple enhanced a few details we should take note of.

Keep reading to find out the top 5 features of the iPhone 7 that you don’t want to miss!

Display and Colors

The iPhone 7 is just as big as the iPhone 6, but the new model received a big upgrade. The iPhone 7 has Wide color display (P3) and 625 nits max brightness instead of 500 nits max brightness on the iPhone 6.

You also get an upgraded experience with a pressure-sensitive Home Button. You can unlock your iPhone with your fingerprint through Touch ID.

Additionally, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes in four sleek colors. You can choose from matte and shiny Black, Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold.

Processor

The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are faster and more efficient with the new A10 Fusion processing chip. The A10 Fusion chip is twice as fast and can process graphics three times faster than its predecessor.

More technically, the improved processor means the iPhone 7 series is more energy-efficient and can maintain better battery life.

Now you don’t have to worry about your iPhone crashing when multitasking.

Battery

As mentioned earlier, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus battery does not disappoint. Longer battery life means you can watch video playback for 2 extra hours more! That’s pretty much four episodes of a sitcom, a feature-length film, or many YouTube videos.

Despite its enhancements, the iPhone 7 uses the same charging method as before. The Lightning cable is ubiquitous to Apple products. No need to worry about buying new cords.

Camera

Along with the Splash-, Water-, and Dust-Resistant features, the iPhone 7 has an improved single 12MP Wide camera system. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 Plus has a dual camera with 12MP each. Both models have Portrait Mode.

You can take photos with the Optical image stabilization feature and Digital zoom up to 5x with True Tone flash in the iPhone 7, while the iPhone 7 Plus has an additional 10x zoom. So you can easily take crisp photos of that cute dog from across the street.

Another major upgrade is the Front-facing camera. It increased from 1.2MP to 7MP with the Retina Flash. You can also enjoy high quality 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps on the front-facing camera and not worry about blurry Slo-fies.

Apple also upgraded the video recording quality with 4K video recording at 30 fps that also includes Optical image stabilization for video.

Headphone Jack

Apple shocked the world by announcing the iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus will not have a headphone jack. The removal of the headphone jack reflects Apple’s push and encouragement to use the Lightning connector.

This means you will need either wireless headphones, compatible wired headphones, or a lightning-to-headphone jack adapter.

When you purchase a new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple includes one compatible wired headphone and one 3.5mm adapter.

If you are interested in switching to wireless headphones, we recommend the Apple AirPods.
