Apple's Announce Messages with Siri feature, through AirPods, is currently being supported by the Telegram app's largest beta ever.

This means that new messages can be listened to and replied to by users without using their iPhone or iPad, allowing for more mobility and convenience for the user.

What Does Telegram Do?

Telegram is a cross-platform, cloud-based messaging and video-calling application created in Russia and originally launched for iOS in August 2013. The app is now available for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, along with having web capacity.

The app functions similarly to other messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, providing instant messaging to friends and family when connected to Wi-Fi.

High Security

However, Telegram sets itself apart by claiming to provide the highest security of them all through providing end-to-end encryption for activities done on the app, such as its chats, groups, and media shared between members and leaves no trace on Telegram's servers.

Moreover, the app also has a "self-destruction" feature, which allows users to set timers on messages and media between the time span of two seconds to a week via its "Secret Chat."

Worth A Try?

Although the Announce Messages with Siri feature was available to developers via Siri's API for over a year, Telegram seems to be the first app to apply it through their TestFlight beta. Users of the app can easily enable the feature in their Settings if they choose to.

The beta arrived with iOS 13.2 and is only supported by Apple's AirPods, AirPods Pro, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, and Beats Solo Pro. Give it a try if you rely on instant messaging apps and also are an owner of AirPods!
