Apple announced two new global radio stations on Apple Music. Beginning August 19, Beats 1, Apple’s flagship global radio station, will be renamed Apple Music 1.
Apple Music 1 will still be home to the hottest hits but with additional artist-led programming. The renaming of the station positions Apple Music 1 as the global destination for musicians to connect directly to their fans.
Additionally, two new radio stations will launch Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.
Apple Music Hits will play everyone’s favorite iconic songs from the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s. It’ll be #throwbackthursday every day with this new station!
On top of the music, listeners can tune in to hear new exclusive shows from artists like Backstreet Boys, Ciara, Alanis Morissette, Snoop Dogg, Shania Twain, and more.
Meanwhile Apple Music Country will broadcast a mix of modern country music and old-time country goodies.
Listeners can also expect Apple Music Country exclusive shows from artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and more.
Users can enjoy Apple Music radio on the iPhone, iPad, iPod, CarPlay, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Mac, HomePod, and on the web at music.apple.com. Or just ask Siri to play “Apple Music 1,” “Apple Music Hits,” or “Apple Music Country.”
Apple Music radio is now available to music lovers in 165 countries.
