Apple's New AirPods Raises Hardware, Software & Consumer Concerns

Since Apple unveiled their newest AirPods Max headphones, the Apple News verse has been buzzing with excitement surrounding the latest product.

But of course, with great products comes great responsibility. Has AirPods Max delivered on all its promises?

People have already begun sharing opinions on how they feel about the AirPods Max features, price and weight and more from the Apple AirPods Service & Repair Page.

AirPods Max Rumoured Missing Features

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple has reportedly omitted a number of features from the AirPods Max over-ear headphones.

Earlier this year, Apple was struggling with several developmental issues with the AirPods Max, causing several launch delays and pushing back on functionality.

Since the unveiling, Gurman has noted that Apple has dropped a number of features to get the AirPods Max finally released. Amongst the missing features are swappable bands, touch panels and irreversible left and right sides.

AirPods Max Price & Weight Concerns Buyers

Trending on Twitter today, AirPods Max price and weight has some users raising eyebrows.

Twitter users have been skeptical about splurging a whopping $549. Apple product reviewer, Rene Ritchie tweeted a thread of tweets commenting on AirPods Max price reactions earlier today.

Amongst growing price concerns are weight concerns of the AirPods Max. The AirPods Max weigh 13.6 ounces or 384 grams- heavier than most competing headphones.

For comparison, Sony WH-1000XM4 weight 8.96 ounces or 254 grams and Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II weight 10.93 ounces or 310 grams.

The weight of over-ear headphones is quite detrimental to whether listeners will take to Apple's new AirPods Max. It will be interesting to know how the balance in the headband may advert attention and discomfort at the hands of the weight of the AirPods Max.

Apple Adds to Their AirPods Service & Repair Page

On its AirPods Service & Repair page, Apple has added an official Battery Service Fee of $79 to cover the AirPods Max.

For those who opt out of the AppleCare+ for AirPods Max, can buy them on Apple's standard one-year warranty. This means that if your AirPods Max need service within the one-year warranty, the service will be free of charge.

After the expiration of the one-year warranty on ‌AirPods Max‌ and the two-year AppleCare+ coverage, Apple will charge a $79 fee for battery servicing.
