Apple Watch SE Sports S5 System And Prioritizes Health, Safety and Fitness Like The Watch Series 6

Apple shared the news of the affordable upgraded Apple Watch SE. Available on Friday, September 18, 2020, the Apple Watch SE takes your smartwatch experience to the next level at a decent price.

During the Apple Event, the big tech company announced the premiere of the Apple Watch SE following the Apple Watch Series 6 launch. Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams comments that

Apple Watch SE combines elements of the Series 6 design with the most essential features of Apple Watch, all at a more affordable price...We’re excited to offer another great option to help customers stay connected, be more active, and keep an eye on their health.

The Apple Watch SE will also get access to the watchOS 7 upgrades in addition to the benefits of the Series 6 features.

Starting from $279 or $12 per month for twenty-four monthly payments, Apple Watch SE users get the benefits from the watchOS 7 updates and Apple Watch Series 6 at a moderate price.

Let's take a look at the notable details Apple added to the Apple Watch SE.

Apple Watch SE New Health and Fitness Trackers

Health is an ongoing concern and focuses on Apple this year. Similar to the Apple Watch Series 6, the Apple Watch SE will also get access to "a new, more power-efficient barometric altimeter, along with GPS and nearby Wi-Fi networks."

The altimeter helps you keep track of the ground elevation you are currently walking on. With regular updates and calculations and the option to use the Compass feature, you will never get lost with your Apple Watch on.

In addition, the altimeter could be helpful for senior citizens to be mindful of the elevation they are walking on if they have any health concerns that are affected by high elevation travels.

The GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity options are an advantage for young children and senior citizens to get the benefits of the smartwatch keeping track of their locations.

The watchOS 7 update gives users the option to keep track of their children and grandparents wearing the Apple Watch to ensure their safety.

Upgraded Series 3 Design for Apple Watch SE

One of the main concerns most users have is the overall performance of the Apple Watch device.

Although the Apple Watch SE is the more affordable option compared to the new Apple Watch Series 6, the SE still has a lot of amazing features that outranks previous Apple Watch models.

Showcasing a Retina display, the Apple Watch SE is 30% larger than the Series 3 to give users more screen space to read texts, send messages, and keep track of workout details.

The Apple Watch SE uses the S5 System in Package (SiP) and dual-core processor to be two times faster than the Apple Watch Series 3. It functions similarly to the S6 seen in the Apple Watch Series 6, using similar features and sensors to give you the best performance at an affordable price.

With the integration of haptic feedback and an upgraded speaker and microphone, you get enhanced sound quality when using the Digital Crown and interacting with friends via Walkie-Talkie, phone calls, and with Siri, too.

Apple Watch SE Emergency Safety 'SOS' Feature

Similar to the altimeter feature, the Emergency SOS on Apple Watch gives you reassurance about traveling alone or taking a new hiking route you're unfamiliar with.

Never get lost nor worry about getting help with the Emergency SOS feature. The Apple Watch SE also has fall detection and an accelerometer to warn users with heart conditions and help users who have tendencies of falling to receive help as soon as possible.

How the Apple Watch SE keeps track of this is that it uses the microphone in it to "measure ambient sound levels in a user's environment."

The Apple Watch SE will send the user a notification for loud noises in their environment through the Noise app and call for emergency services if it detects 60 seconds of immobility.
