iPhone Update: Apple Set to Equip Future iPhones with Periscope Lens

In his latest investor note, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts Apple will be adding Semco and Sunny optical to the iPhone supply chain. Semco and Sunny Optical are respectively the “best” lens suppliers in South Korea and China.

This massive camera improvement will not be a part of the upcoming iPhone 12 release. But Kuo predicts the iPhone will soon have a periscope lens as soon as 2022.

What does this all mean? In short, adding a periscope lens to the iPhone will increase the camera’s zoom functionality tenfold.

Ming-Chi Kuo is a veteran securities analyst based with TF Securities. He is well known for his Apple hardware and supply chain predictions.
