Warner Bros. Releases 17 Titles for HBO

WarnerMedia Response to COVID-19 Pandemic
The movies will be available for HBO Max subscribers for 31 days. They will continue their run in local theatres before purchasing on Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play.
WarnerMedia Chair and CEO Ann Sarnoff have made a statement about this new strategy in saying:
We’re living in unprecedented times which call for creative solutions, including this new initiative for the Warner Bros. Pictures Group. No one wants films back on the big screen more than we do. We know new content is the lifeblood of theatrical exhibition, but we have to balance this with the reality that most theaters in the U.S. will likely operate at reduced capacity throughout 2021
This strategy relates to how the COVID-19 pandemic has altered the way theatres and the film industry are to operate during this unprecedented time. With streaming services gaining popularity, the Warner Bros. strategy may lay the foundation for a new relationship between films and streaming.
Warner Bros.'s parent company owns HBO Max, AT&T. The subscription service is priced at $14.99 per month and is available on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.
