Overview

Apple has rolled out several services over the years, and now it’s bundling up its best ones into a single package: Apple One. Announced at the Time Flies event on September 15, Apple One packages Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud, Apple News+, and Apple Fitness+ into one subscription.

The Apple One package saves you plenty of money while providing you with quality products. Available later this year, Apple One will likely be a popular subscription service considering the value you get from its bundle.

Apple Music will be one of the bundle's primary selling points. With a regular subscription already costing $9.99/month, Apple Music will add immense value to Apple One. The streaming service will provide users with over 60 million songs, one of the world's largest music libraries, and a variety of cool features that come with Apple Music.

Another big selling point is Apple TV+, the streaming service started by Apple. Featuring a comprehensive catalog of Apple originals, Apple TV+ has shown itself to be a formidable competitor to other services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video by being nominated for several categories at the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards.

Apple is aiming to push its new service, Apple Arcade, with the Apple One bundle. Apple Arcade gives users access to dozens of games made by top-notch developers around the world. With a subscription, users unlock everything in each game and can play to their heart's content.

Users will also get at least 50GB of iCloud storage, depending on the plan they choose. But the Individual Plan comes with 50GB and will allow users to store a significant number of files onto their iCloud account.

If users upgrade to the Premier Apple One Bundle, they'll also get access to Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+. Apple News+ will allow users to browse through hundreds of magazines from everywhere and on every topic. From fashion to sports to tech, Apple News+ will cover it all.

Apple Fitness+ is a new service that Apple is releasing later this year. It's Apple's own fitness training app, loaded with workout classes. This service will be especially appealing to owners of the Apple Watch, or just any fitness enthusiast.

You can pick between three plans: Individual, Family, and Premier. Each of them comes with different features and are priced accordingly.

Services

Apple One comes with five of Apple’s best-selling services and Apple Fitness+, a new service coming later this year. Each of these provides a different function, and when bundled together, you’ll save money on all of them.

Here’s a quick summary of each service.

Apple Music

Apple Music is Apple’s music streaming service. With over 60 million songs and plenty of fantastic features, Apple Music adds immense value to the Apple One bundle.

On Apple Music, you’ll be able to download and listen to your favorite songs, as well as any songs you’ve bought from iTunes. Suppose you’re looking to freshen things up. In that case, Apple Music makes discovering new music more accessible than ever with its playlists and radio channels.

Compatible with all Apple devices and equipped with comprehensive Siri commands, Apple Music is easy to use and provides excellent value. Easily one of Apple’s most popular services, Apple Music plays a significant role in the Apple One bundle.

Apple TV+

Not to be confused with the Apple TV device, Apple TV+ is Apple’s streaming service. With hundreds of shows and movies, Apple TV+ guarantees hours upon hours of entertainment at your fingertips.

Apple produces all of Apple TV+’s shows. And despite being a relatively new product, Apple TV+ has already been nominated for 18 Primetime Emmy Awards. For such a young service, this is already a remarkable achievement. With an Apple TV+ subscription, the quality of content will only be going up.

Apple Arcade

Apple Arcade is a relatively new service from Apple. Apple Arcade itself is actually a bundle. With dozens of mobile games packaged into one space, Apple Arcade is literally an arcade for the iPhone.

With an Apple Arcade or Apple One subscription, Apple Arcade gives you unlimited access to over 100 games on the platform. Furthermore, you can download them to play games offline as well. Play games by SEGA, Lego, Konami, and more.

Apple Arcade comes with any of the Apple One plans. This one will definitely be one for users to experiment with. But considering its features, it will likely become a highly popular and frequently used service.

iCloud

Every Apple ID user gets 5GB of free iCloud storage space, but that’s barely enough. The Apple One bundle offers a little more. Depending on your subscription plan, you’ll get 50GB, 200GB, or 2TB of iCloud storage space.

iCloud storage is useful for keeping your photos, files, or even iPhone backups in a secure space. If 50GB doesn’t suffice, you can always upgrade to a better Apple One subscription plan. Or, if you’re just looking for extra iCloud space, you can add that on individually, separate from the Apple One subscription.

Apple News+

Maybe a lesser-known service, but Apple’s News app has a premium version: Apple News+. By subscribing to Apple News+, you get access to hundreds of magazines from around the world. From the Wall Street Journal to Sports Illustrated, there’s something for everyone to read up on.

Based on your preferences, Apple News+ will curate a specific news feed that matches your tastes. If you enjoy fashion, Apple News+ may suggest Vogue or Fashion magazine to you, so you don’t have to go looking. Additionally, Apple News+ may recommend new magazines you’ve never read so you can keep it fresh.

Apple Fitness+

An all-new service coming to Apple this fall, Apple Fitness+ is Apple’s own health and fitness app. With fitness becoming more and more popular as time passes, Apple Fitness+ guarantees top-notch coaching and training so you can achieve your fitness goals.

Apple Fitness+ allows you to stream workouts from world-class instructors. The design will keep you motivated, and there’s a workout for everyone, under any conditions. Even if you don’t have the equipment or are not familiar with any training regimen, Apple Fitness+ has you covered.

Pricing

The Apple One service currently has three available pricing plans: Individual, Family, and Premier. Take a look at all three plans to see which one fits your needs better.

Individual

The Individual plan comes with Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50GB of iCloud storage. This plan will cover all your basic needs and more, providing you with entertainment and utility. The Individual plan costs $14.95 per month.

Family

If you’re sharing with several people, the Family plan is undoubtedly a worthier investment. For $19.95 per month, it comes with all the services that the Individual plan comes with, and 200GB of iCloud storage instead of 50GB. The Family plan is linked to one Apple ID account, but it can be shared with five other people.

Premier

The Premier Apple One Bundle is the best option. The Premier plan, at $29.95 per month, includes all the services of the Individual and Family plans as well as Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+. You also get a whopping 2TB of iCloud storage. This plan is also shareable across five other users, so if it’s shared, this may get you the best value out of all these plans.
